The owner, Melissa Cusano, has received one of the highest distinctions in the custom framing industry: becoming a CPF (Certified Picture Framer) through the Professional Picture Framer’s Association. The Village Framer is proud to offer complete frame restoration services by our talented staff member, Kate Bergquist. Kate brings with her extensive experience in conservation, restoration and replication of historic gilded and painted frames. She specializes in the repair of missing finishes and ornamentation. Her treatments are respectful of original materials, preserving the aesthetics quality of the frame while maintaining evidence of its historic use.

The staff of The Village Framer is continually educating themselves on the latest in design and technology in the framing industry. This includes reading periodicals and attending seminars & tradeshows. Recently the entire staff attended the industry’s premier show, Décor Expo, in New York.
